Leg Vein Treatment

Leg veins are a common problem for women and men of every age. But you can now treat unwanted leg veins quickly and easily with laser treatments. In the past the most common treatment for women and men with unsightly leg veins and varicose veins was to use compression stockings to cover them or to endure expensive and painful surgery. Leg vein laser treatment is now available and can help to reduce the appearance of spider veins, varicose veins and reticular veins. The treatment is quick and easy with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime. Restore the youthful appearance of your legs with minimally invasive leg vein laser treatments.

Leg vein laser treatment uses laser light to constrict blood vessels in the legs and this causes the veins to disappear. The treatment is clinically-proven and simple with excellent results and unlike surgery there are no scars.

So when you’re considering a treatment for leg vein removal… Be Sure it’s Cynosure!

Am I a good candidate for this procedure?

This treatment can be performed on all skin types. Your provider will determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment.

How does it work?

Laser light targets and constricts the blood vessels that cause veins in the legs without harming surrounding tissue, so there’s little to no downtime.

What types of leg veins can be treated?

Leg vein treatments are ideal for spider veins, reticular veins, varicose veins and small broken capillaries on the legs.

How long does it take?

Treatment sessions can take as little as 30 minutes, but this depends on the size of the area being treated and the number of leg veins that require treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

An immediate improvement can generally be seen following a treatment but several treatments may be needed to reduce the appearance of the leg veins completely.

Does it hurt?

Most people can easily tolerate leg vein removal treatments.

How quickly will I recover?

You can generally resume regular activities immediately following treatment.  It is not advisable to take hot baths, hot showers or engage in vigorous exercise for at least 2 weeks following your leg vein treatment.

Are there any side effects?

There is often mild swelling, bruising and redness at the site of treatment but this will generally resolve within 1 month. Possible scarring, clotting, crusting, ulcers and scabbing may occur and there is the chance of lightening or darkening of the skin.
Your treatment provider can supply you with individualised information on potential side effects.
